Cold and hot air
HOT AIR BALLOON INFLATING - USE HOT AND COLD AIR TO INFLATE A BALLOON

What you need:
- balloons
- water (cold and hot)
- plastic pop bottles (1 smaller one and 2 bigger ones)

How to do the experiment:

Step 1:
First you have to stretch out the balloons.
Step 2:
Stretch the neck of ballons over the top of 2 larger bottles (bottles have to be the same size).
Step 3:
Pull the balloon down. Make sure the neck of balloon covers all the threads of the bottle.
Step 4:
Put one of the bottles with the balloon still on it into the freezer and leave it there for about 5 minutes (you can also leave it in the freezer for 30 minutes and get a better effect).
Step 5:
Put the smaller bottle on the counter/table to use as a control.
Step 6:
Use a new (bigger) bottle and repeat the process with the ballon as explained before. Put that bottle in the freezer as well.
Step7:
Fill half of the sink, bowl or pot with hot water. Take the smaller bottle from the freezer and put it in the hot water. Hold the bottle in this position and watch what happens.
Step 8:
Do the same with larger bottle.
Step 9:
Take the bottles out of the water and pour the hot water away.
Step 10:
Fill half of the sink and bowl with room temperature water.
Step 11:
Take the control bottle from the freezer and put it into the room temperature water. Water has to be 3 up the side of the bottle. Hold the bottle in this position and watch what will happen.

What should happen:
If you did everything right, here's what should happe:  If you kept the bottle with the balloon in the freezer for 5 minutes, the balloon collapsed. But if you kept the bottle with the balloon in the freezer for 30 minutes, the balloon gets sucked into the bottle.
